Vacation notice
July 1 - august 25, 2025
Emily takes off an entire month+ during the summer every year. This is a predictable time that she sets aside for undisturbed time with her family. During this time frame, Emily will be unable to accept due dates. All surrounding due dates will be accepted cautiously after mutual discussion and thoughtful planning. Some in-person visits with another provider in Emily’s office (for those who are further along in their pregnancies) and brief Telehealth visits (for everyone else) will be offered while she is away. This must be something you are comfortable with before beginning care with Emily.
January 1 - March 31, 2026
Emily’s Winter is very booked! Therefore, during the above stated time, Emily will only be seeing postpartum families and families that are due in January through May of 2026 for in-person office visits. All other families will be scheduled for Telehealth visits during this time. This must be something you are comfortable with when coming in to care. Because of this, Emily will be seriously limited on accepting clients coming in to care with due dates from April - June 2026. So, please-please, pretty-please plan accordingly. Thank You!
May 2026
Two of Emily’s older boys will be graduating college and high school respectively. The graduation dates are not set yet (and will be updated once they are). She will be attending their graduation ceremonies and their graduation parties. If you go into labor during or immediately before one of these important events, Emily will have to call another midwife to replace her. This must be something you are comfortable with when coming in to care.

December through February due dates seem to be the most affected by these dates, as this time off correlates with those early in-person visits. Emily will still be available to chat with you via EHR, can write any outpatient labs you may want or need, fax referrals for ultrasounds, etc. She just won’t be available for any in-person care during this time.
